Title: email from dialup.cc
|
|
spanky Guest
Boz and varp7. Let me clarify that. When i have sent in anything to dialup.cc by email whether it be for support or just a question for Kyle, I have always been answered back in a quick timely manner. When i send email to anyone or receive it, it has worked well.
Sorry for the way i said that, i had already thought about that myself after reading it again. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I just was not thinking which i seem to do on a regular basis.

Lot of factors contribute to how slow dialup can be. Mine is slow at times but i have bad phone lines but it still works very good for me.

Very odd. I wonder if they can go after you for selling on ebay?
Also some very bizarre stuff about ownership of domain names when registered, etc.

Standard stuff - these are personal ISP accounts NOT Business ISP accounts.

Title: dialup numbers for dialup.cc
|
|
spanky Guest
I have only 1 access number in my area and it works very well, no need for a second or third number. I do not get bumped off at any time. It has been very reliable and i will give Kyle a A+ for this service at a low price. Any problems that do arise for a customer is answered very quickly by email and i have had none myself. Well worth the time to sign up and at this price, it is a no brainer. I 100 percent agree with Pete and George on their reviews.

Your mileage may vary....

I have been with this isp for about three weeks. No busy signals at all yet and no dropped connections. Kyle is good to work with and even though so far only one number in my locality, apparently number of modems is well within tolerances for connecting without redialing. I reccommend you try them.

I have been using this ISP for almost a month and have had no downtimes. There are no banner ads or other pesky little things, just a straight-forward get you there and back. Love it so far, and the price is very right. They are still working on putting their website together, but that does not slow down anything.

I tried signing up but they dont have a number in a city of 39k plus a regaion of over 60k. Sure wish they had it in my area I would be on with them instantly. They are aware of the issue but its been 3 weeks now and no new number is available.

I've only had a "dialup.cc" ISP account for about a little more than a month but, so far, it looks very good.
There are six access numbers in my local calling area. The number I selected is consistently giving me connections at 50666 bps or 49333 bps. In my local calling area they are using Level3 network access numbers.
E-mail has POP, IMAP, SMTP and WebmailPort 25 is not blocked. Messages sent from most other SMTP e-mail services were not blocked.
POP and IMAP worked flawlessly.
Mail sent via SMTP did not contain any extra "footer" messages.
Mail sent via webmail contained a small footer: "This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program."
Customer service via e-mail:When the service first started, I had a minor issue with the SMTP service. My complaint was acknowledged immediately, via autoresponder, and answered by a "human" within an hour. There were at least six additional "human" follow-up messages until I reported that the problem was solved. I got the impression that Kyle was personally involved in the follow-up, most of the "human" responses were from him.
Not bad considering it's less than 5 dollars a month.
I don't have an ISP that gives me connections as slow as in the report by "prettyboy". While using their connection or one provided by another ISP, I haven't experienced any unusual problems with any of their webpages.
